Engagement Ring Arrives After GI Dies
Two hours after hearing that her love had been killed in Iraq, a
soldier's fiancée got his engagement ring, his family said. Army Sgt.
Yevgeniy Ryndych, 24, of Staten Island, N.Y., was killed in Ramadi by a
roadside bomb.

E. Coli Outbreak Heads West
The E. coli outbreak largely believed to be tied to green onions served
at Taco Bell restaurants in the northeast has traveled westward,
according to reports. So far, nearly 60 people have been sickened from
the bacteria.

The U.S. military says coalition troops, led by U.S. service members,
have killed 20 insurgents in fighting, but the area's mayor says 19
civilians died in the battle.
