U.S. stocks close lower after Tuesday's rally

NEW YORK
U.S. stocks finished a lackluster session lower on Wednesday, as
investors consolidated the previous session's gains and still struggled
to make sense of the sharp pull-back in global markets seen last week.

After Hours: Men's Wearhouse shares rise; Coldwater Creek loses ground

SAN FRANCISCO
Shares of clothing retailers Men's Wearhouse Inc. and Coldwater Creek
Inc. were in the spotlight during Wednesday's evening trading session,
as shares of Men's Wearhouse rose after a forecast of
higher-than-expected earnings and Coldwater Creek Inc. fell following
its results.

Futures Movers: Crude prices end near 1-week high; U.S. oil, product
supply falls

SAN FRANCISCO
Crude-oil futures gained nearly 2% Wednesday to close at their highest
level in almost a week as U.S. inventories data showed that supplies of
crude declined unexpectedly, for the first time since early February,
and distillate and gasoline inventories continued their descent to stand
below their year-ago levels.

Economic Report: Economy growing, but some slowing seen

WASHINGTON
The U.S. economy is growing at a modest pace, but some slowing has been
seen in about a third of the country, the Federal Reserve reported
Wednesday in its Beige Book.
