U.S. stocks rise as techs rally

NEW YORK U.S. stocks were higher on Wednesday, as enthusiasm for the
technology sector was revived by positive news from Yahoo Inc. and Sun
Microsystems Inc., which offset disappointing earnings from Advanced
Micro Devices Inc.
