U.S. stocks closed sharply lower, led by techs

U.S. stocks closed sharply lower Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial
Average losing more than 100 points at its worst level and the Nasdaq
Composite down more than 1%, as sentiment towards the technology sector
soured further after disappointing earnings last week.
