U.S. stocks turn mixed; Boeing weighs on the Dow

NEW YORK

U.S. stocks traded mixed Thursday as a pullback in shares of Boeing Co.
weighed on the Dow Jones Industrial Average in a market where falling
energy prices and a solid third-quarter earnings season have rallied the
blue-chip index to record highs.

Demand for U.S.-made durable goods soared 7.8% in September, the biggest
jump in six years, as orders for new aircraft nearly tripled, the
government said Thursday.

Futures Movers: Natural-gas futures fall from a seven-week high

SAN FRANCISCO

Natural-gas futures touched a seven-week high on Thursday, supported by
data that showed supplies of the commodity rose less than expected last
week, but prices then retreated, with traders not fully convinced that
storage facilities won't reach full capacity when the winter season
starts.
