Dow Chemical, Rohm & Haas come to terms on deal

Dow Chemical Co. and Rohm & Haas, in a bid to avoid what could have
been a nasty courtroom battle, reportedly reach an 11th-hour agreement
to settle their differences at $78 a share.

ROCHE NEAR DEAL TO BUY REST OF GENENTECH: REPORT

The board of directors of Genentech Inc. is reportedly near a deal to
sell the remaining shares of the company to Swiss drug giant Roche
Holding AG for $95 a share, which would give the deal a total value of
$46.7 billion.

GOOGLE STRUGGLES TO RETURN TO THE $300 MARK

Google remains below the $300 mark, as investors sour on the search
giant in the wake of sobering comments made by its chief executive
last week.
