U.S. stocks fall after weak data


NEW YORK
U.S. stocks were mixed Wednesday, after better-than-expected earnings
from Oracle Corp. lifted technology shares, while a weak economic report
did little to offset recent jitters about the subprime mortgage market
and hedge fund woes.

Millionaires now number 9.5 million, survey finds

LONDON
The number of people holding more than $1 million in financial assets
rose 8.3% to 9.5 million in 2006, according to Merrill Lynch and Cap
Gemini's annual survey of world wealth.
