U.S. stocks fall ahead of Bernanke testimony

U.S. STOCKS FALL AHEAD OF BERNANKE TESTIMONY
U.S. stocks move lower as investors are cautious ahead of a speech
from Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke.

EUROPE SHARES OFF HIGHS AS GREEK BANKS, MINERS DIP
European shares backed away from recent highs on Wednesday, as
commodity-sector firms retreated, Greek banks fell and Renault shares
traded lower after signing a three-way tie-up with Daimler and Nissan.

GREENSPAN: SUBPRIME LOANS DID NOT CAUSE CRISIS
An insatiable global appetite for packaged pools of high-risk subprime
mortgages was a signficiant contributor to the financial crisis, jot
the subprime mortgages themselves, former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan
tells a government-appointed inquiry panel in defense of his tenure.

ENERGY STOCKS FALL; MASSEY ENERGY EXTENDS SLIDE
Energy stocks fell Wednesday alongside a pullback in oil prices and
the broader equities market, and ahead of weekly supply data from the
Energy Information Administration.

WEDNESDAY'S BIGGEST GAINING AND DECLINING STOCKS
Stocks making notable moves in Wednesday's stock market include CKE,
Hanson Medical, Massey and Pure Bioscience.
