Oil hits one-year high as stocks gain

Crude futures trade up 1% after earlier hitting their strongest
intraday level in a year.

J.P. MORGAN CHASE PROFIT JUMPS PAST ESTIMATES

Investors cheered the results, but it also included sobering news
about a rise in non-performing loans.

CREDIT COSTS HIGH, TO REMAIN ELEVATED: J.P. MORGAN

Although J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. posted better-than-expected net
income, the bank's rising credit costs remained a lingering worry for
investors.

B. OF A. TO RELEASE MERRILL DOCUMENTS: SEC

Bank of America Corp. has agreed to hand over certain documents
detailing legal advice it received during its controversial purchase
of Merrill Lynch & Co., the Securities and Exchange Commission says.

CREDIT AGRICOLE TO REPAY $4.5 BILLION OF STATE AID

Credit Agricole will soon repay 3 billion euros ($4.5 billion) of state aid
that it received late last year.
