U.S. wholesale-level inflation jumps 1.8% in June

EUROPEAN SHARES NOTCH SECOND STRAIGHT DAY OF GAINS

A strong performance from the banking sector helped European shares to rise
again on Tuesday, as better-than-expected earnings from Goldman Sachs
went some way to reassuring about second-quarter profit trends.

ASIAN MARKETS REBOUND ON COMMODITY PLAYS

Asian shares ended higher Tuesday after strong overnight gains on Wall Street,
with commodity stocks buoyed by a bounce in metal and oil prices.

GOLDMAN PROFIT RISES 65%

Goldman Sachs says second-quarter profit jumped amid record revenue generated
in equity underwriting, but shares of the investment powerhouse take a pause
following their Monday rally.
