TEN BANKS CAN REPAY $68 BILLION IN TARP
A group of 10 large financial institutions are given the go-ahead by the
Treasury Department to repay $68 billion in funds they received as
part of the government's almost $200 billion bank bailout program.
FINANCIAL SECTOR QUIET AFTER TARP-PAYBACK DETAILS
The Treasury Department is set to announce that it will allow as many
as 10 banks to repay the funds they've borrowed under the Troubled
Asset Relief Program, according to press reports.
