Bush To Put 30-Day Freeze On Foreclosures

The Bush administration announced a new initiative that is aimed at
helping U.S. homeowners about to lose their dwellings. For qualified
homeowners, it will put the foreclosure process on hold for 30 days.

2008 U.S. Budget Deficit Bleeding Red Ink

In its monthly review of the government's finances, the Treasury
Department reported the budget deficit through the first four months of
this budget year is nearly $88 billion -- more than double the amount
recorded during the same period in 2007.
