U.S. stocks bounce back from Wednesday sell-off
NEW YORK
Stocks bounced back in late morning trade Thursday, as investors sought
bargains following the market's drop in the previous session and looked
past disappointing outlooks from U.S. retailers, including Wal-Mart
Stores Inc., and rising oil prices.
March retail sales on a roll thanks to Easter
CHICAGO
March proved to be a blowout month of sales for most of the nation's
largest retailers with thanks to an early Easter and warm temperatures
that broke records.
