U.S. stocks rise as Fed meets

NEW YORK
U.S. stocks were rising modesly on Tuesday, one day after a strong
rally, with investors adopting a cautious stance following news of a
rebound in housing starts in February, as the Federal Reserve's two-day
meeting on interest rates got underway.

Economic Report: Housing starts bounce back 9% in February

WASHINGTON
Groundbreaking on new homes rebounded by 9% in February after a 14%
decline in January, but less volatile building permits declined by 2.5%,
the Commerce Department reported Tuesday.
