WASHINGTON
The stock market is now priced for maximum gridlock in Washington for
the next two years. __________
Races to watch as the returns pour in

WASHINGTON
Counting the votes in Tuesday's midterm elections will stretch into
Wednesday morning and beyond, but returns from key states early in the
evening could offer strong clues on what the new Congress will look
like.

Toll Bros. says it doesn't see a recovery yet for housing market

BOSTON
Leading home builders including Toll Brothers Inc. and Beazer Homes USA
Inc. reported weaker quarterly results Tuesday on continued soft demand
for homes, and said the light at the end of the tunnel isn't quite
visible yet for the U.S. housing market.

Toyota reports record profit for fiscal first half, lifts outlook

HONG KONG
Toyota Motor Corp., Japan's biggest automaker by sales, reported Tuesday
record sales and group net profit for the September-ending first half,
lifted by operational cost savings, a weaker yen and strong North
American sales of its fuel-efficient and sports utility vehicle models.
